Another two chapters today. I seem to be a short-chapter kind of guy, but that's okay with me, I think. Still about 1,000 words behind but I'm not too worried about it. The writing felt easier and more fun today, so that's good.

This is my first shot at writing a novel. My regular blog is WhistleDance.net.
Title: Bibliomorph
Author: Graham R. Waldon
Summary: A magic notebook, a mysterious collection of books beneath a library, and
a young man who must accept a power he didn't know he had. I'll figure out the rest as I go along.
Word Count: 50,895 (11.29.2004)
Goal: 50,000 words (11.30.2004)
Seamus Gilbert: 23 years old, recent college graduate. Plodding through various temp jobs
while he figures out what to do with his life. Volunteers at the library, where he finds the book that starts everything.
Gabriela Mendoza: 8 years old. Comes to the library sometimes because her mother works there.
Friend of Seamus. Will probably need rescuing at some point.
Cassidy Martin: A junior in college, CS major. Finds a book like Seamus' and gets drawn into the same adventure.
Big Jake: More than what he appears to be, which is the homeless guy outside the library.

No post for November 4th?! Taking the day off?? This is why I don’t read serials, or series that have unreleased books- I’m too impatient of a person to wait for the next chapter. That’s my problem not yours, though… ;-)
I don't know if I agree with the premise of writing for word count (because it can provoke unnecessary verbosity in some writers), but I sure am intrigued by your story so far. You seem to sell your writing short, though, which I don’t necessarily agree with. (like I’m some big literary critic, or something) Keep up the good work!
